The Music covers which are available on the YouTube channels @PushkaCom @3amSydney and @GodlessEnchiridion are under the Australian YouTube Network BOOM TV, which has a partnership with AMCOS, Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners’ Society Limited. If you would like to have one of my videos removed due to inappropriate use of music, please contact BOOM Network.

The following is a description of the licence methods used: 

“AMCOS’ agreement with Boom Video is a blanket licence for the underlying musical work. As it only includes cover versions of songs, no record company rights are used in this context.

As the AMCOS/Boom Video agreement is a blanket licence, you do not need to request specific permission upfront. However if a copyright holder did request for their song to be removed, Boom would ask you to remove that video – something that rarely happens.

AMCOS also has reciprocal agreements with similar organisations overseas. Therefore the songs represented include those from Japan, the Anglo-American repertoire and most other countries.

My name is Benjamin Gib, I am currently developing a YouTube channel, and was wondering if it would be possible to gain permission to perform Nintendo music in YouTube videos on my channel.
Oftentimes people just use Nintendo music, or perform it without permission, but I would like to be legally sound.
I would not use Nintendo’s copyrighted music or audio files, I would be simply performing the music.
Though I’d be able to monetize the videos with advertising with further permission, I wouldn’t do so unless allowed by Nintendo.
I could link to websites of related games, and if anything, the Nintendo website (and I could display the Nintendo logo, if requested.

Are they held under any copyright licence or record label?

What I would be requesting is permission for any combination of these:

• Permission to perform the songs on YouTube
• Permission to place advertising on or next to the YouTube videos for revenue sharing with Google/YouTube
• Permission to allow the public to download mp3 recordings for free
  • (This would not be replacing the original soundtracks…
  • I would link back to the 3abn website or other website
  • It would get the message and songs out there more)
