‘Very well. Kindly wait outside while I have a quick word with Miss Granger about her timetable, then we can go down to the feast together.’
Harry went back into the corridor with Madam Pomfrey , who left for the hospital wing, muttering to herself.
“Kindly take a seat here, miss Granger” McGonagall said warmly, gesturing to an ornately carved armchair by the low burning fire in the corner of the office.
“I’ve seen your application to all the subjects offered to third years, Miss Granger.”
“I know it seems crazy professor,” Hermione interrupted, but was hushed into silence with a wave of McGonagall’s hand. “Miss Granger, I just wanted to say that I’m extremely proud of your achievements at Hogwarts so far. You remind me of myself when I was a student, always ready to take up extra work no matter what the cost on time.”
