The Pelikan Hub is a community-organised pen-meetup happening on the same day around the world – held on SEP 25th this year (2026)
Important note – in previous years, registered attendees got a free bottle of ink,
Pelikan is not giving an ink bottle to all attendees this year.
there are other gifts: notepad, postcard etc.

Fund-raising
The Sydney Pelikan Hub 2026 is free to attend, but I’m running a fund-raising campaign to help cover venue hire costs
There are between 100 – 150 people registered for the Sydney hub, finding a location has been tough
Goal: $550 (Redfern Town Hall hire + insurance)

Raffle entry - Pelikan ink of the year Pyrite
For many years Pelikan have given a bottle of their ink-of-the-year to all registered Hub attendees, but not this year. Donation to help with venue cost will enter you into this Pyrite raffle (as of Sep 9th, no package from Pelikan yet) Some hubs received 1 bottle, some more, so whatever we receive will be raffled.

Who is Ben-Pushka??
I was at the 2nd ever FPA meetup in 2015, I’ve loved dip-pens/fountain-pens and vintage-type stuff since I was a small child (anyone ever been to old-Sydney-town before it closed and became a film-studio?) in 2015 my sister started using a Lamy Safari for every day writing, and I was inspired to do the same, and love the colours, waterproof inks and smoothness of writing cursive (which I decided to finally actually learn that year)
I’ve been to a lot of pen-events in the past but never organised one before – there have been some issues with Pelikan communication and timing of things, but hopefully 2026 Pelikan Hub will be a success
